Gerrard
lifts
the Champions League trophy in 2005 |
Friday
21, April 2006 -
LONDON, England - Skipper Steven Gerrard has
moved to distance himself from the speculation which is again
threatening to surround his Liverpool future.
The Liverpool man was linked
with Real Madrid in the week when it was revealed his name was on a
priority list of summer signings.
Yesterday Liverpool
manager Rafael Benitez dismissed the move from the Spanish giants
saying: 'The situation is simple, Steven Gerrard is not for sale.'
But the Spaniard admitted
he had discussed the speculation coming from Spain with his captain and
said: 'His commitment to this club is vital.'

Baddeley wins
first PGA Tour title - GOLF
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. Aaron Baddeley
struggled to live up to the expectations people had of him since he was
a teenager in Australia.
Once Baddeley learned to count on himself and his faith instead of his
scorecard, he felt a success that didn't come from an oversized check or
championship trophy. Now, Baddeley has both, taking the Verizon Heritage
on Sunday for his first PGA Tour win and the peace of mind and soul that
fulfills him no matter where he finishes.
