BOSTON — Four-time U.S. outdoor champion Khadevis Robinson held off a
lunging Nicholas Symmonds by a mere hundreth of a second to win the men’s 800
meters in 1:46.95 at the AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday.

The contest highlighted the fast and furious second day of the competition as
the sprints and men’s shotput took center stage.

Kluft forced out of worlds by injury

Carolina Kluft has pulled out of the Swedish team for the IAAF World Indoor pentathlon competition in a fortnight’s time due to a hamstring injury.
Kluft, whose only world indoor gold medal success came at the 2003 championships in Birmingham, became aware of the problem when warming up for Thursday night’s GE Galan meeting in Stockholm.
